    pyramid arithmetic method

    • The Pyramid Arithmetic method is an ancient method that can provide unparalleled results.
    • It acts like a foundation for a house, like a root for a tree and like an anchor for a ship. It is an occult number hidden within the name, invisible to the viewer.
    • When the name is placed in the lucky number, it gives good results. At the same time, the pyramid number is a lucky number and will give you the best results in Vitad.
    • It is in this rare way that this name list has been prepared. Although all the names are lucky numbers, only some of them are lucky numbers in pyramid counting.
    • A * symbol is inserted to identify such best names.* Choose coded names and pray to almighty to bless your child’s future.

    How Numerology Name Selection Works

Most Tamil families pick a baby's name based on the birth star. The astrologer looks at the jathagam, finds out which nakshatra the moon was in at birth, and gives a starting letter. That's the traditional way. But there's more to it than just the first letter.

Numerology adds another layer. Every letter has a number value. A = 1, B = 2, C = 3, and so on. When you put together a full name, you add up all the letter values and reduce it to a single digit. That single digit is your name number. And different numbers carry different meanings.

For example, number 1 is for leadership. Number 5 is for travel and change. Number 8 is for struggle early in life but success later. So when parents pick a name, they don't just pick any name that starts with the right letter. They pick a name where the total numerology number also works in the child's favour.

The Three Things That Go Into Name Selection:
    1

    Nakshatra (Birth Star)

This comes from the child's jathagam. The moon's position at the exact time of birth tells you the nakshatra. Each nakshatra has 4 padas, and each pada has a specific starting syllable. So if the baby is born in Ashwini nakshatra, first pada, the starting letter is "Chu". Second pada is "Che". Third pada is "Cho". Fourth pada is "La". The astrologer or this calculator tells you which pada the birth falls in.

    2

    Numerology Number

Once you know the starting letter, you need to find a name where the total letter values add up to a favourable number. Not every name that starts with "Chu" will give a good numerology number. You have to check. This is where most people get confused and need a calculator.

    3

    Pyramid Number

This is a less common method but quite popular in Tamil Nadu. You write the numerology values of each letter in the name, then add adjacent pairs to form a pyramid. The final number at the top of the pyramid should be a favourable one. Some astrologers check this, some don't. But families who are particular about numerology want all three to match.

Why does birth time matter so much?

Because the nakshatra pada changes roughly every 3 hours and 20 minutes. If the birth time is off even by 30 minutes, the pada might change, and with it, the starting letter changes completely. That's why hospitals now record birth time down to the minute. If your birth certificate says 10:15 AM, use that exact time. Don't round it off.

    What this page does

You enter the baby's date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth. It calculates the nakshatra and pada, gives you the correct starting letter, and then shows 300+ name options where the numerology number and pyramid number are already checked. You don't have to calculate anything manually. The list is sorted so the strongest numerology names come first.

That's basically how the whole thing works. Nakshatra gives the letter. Numerology gives the number. And the calculator matches both to give you names that work on all counts.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    • How is the first letter of the baby's name decided?

It comes from the birth star (nakshatra). The moon's position at the baby's exact birth time tells you the nakshatra and pada. Each pada has a specific starting syllable. So the letter isn't random — it's calculated from the jathagam.

    • Do I need both date of birth and time of birth?

Yes, both. The nakshatra pada changes every 3 hours 20 minutes. So date alone isn't enough. Even a 30-minute difference in birth time can give a different starting letter. Use the exact time from the birth certificate.

    • What's the difference between nakshatra-based naming and numerology naming?

Nakshatra gives you the starting letter. Numerology gives you the number value of the full name. Ideally, you want both to match — the name starts with the right letter AND the total numerology number is favourable. This calculator checks both.

    • The list shows 300 names. Are all of them good?

All 300 names start with the correct letter and have been checked for numerology value. But the ones at the top have stronger numerology and pyramid numbers. If you want the best options, pick from the first 20-30 names.

    • What is this pyramid number method?

You take the numerology value of each letter in the name, write them in a row. Then add adjacent numbers to make a second row. Keep doing this until you get one final number at the top. That's the pyramid number. In Tamil Nadu, many Jothidars check this along with basic numerology.

    • Can I get names in Tamil and English both?

Yes. The name list shows names in both Tamil script and English. So you can show it to your family in Tamil and also use the English spelling for official records.

    • Is the name list downloadable?

The free version shows the starting letter, nakshatra details, and a preview of names. The full list of 300 names comes after payment (₹249). You get it on WhatsApp and email within minutes.

    • I already named my baby. Can I check if the name has good numerology?

Yes. Enter the baby's birth details, and the calculator will show the correct starting letter and numerology analysis. If your baby's current name doesn't match, some parents add or remove a letter to adjust the numerology value. That's common practice.

    • Twins born at the same time — will they get the same letter?

Yes. Same birth time means same nakshatra pada, which means same starting letter. But the 300-name list gives enough options to pick different names for each child while keeping the same numerology rules.

    • My family astrologer gave a different letter than what this calculator shows. Why?

Usually it's a birth time difference. If your astrologer used a slightly different birth time, the pada might shift, giving a different letter. Double check the birth time with both. Also, some astrologers use a different ayanamsa (calculation method), which can cause small differences in nakshatra boundaries.
